Do you know there are so many myths about dieting? Though, diet for weight loss has gone out of fashion years ago and have been replaced with healthy nutrition diet. And it was for a good reason since dieting can be effective at first but could lead to weight gain later. here are some of the greater myths about dieting that I have tried to mention in the article. Spare a minute to read it.
1) Veggies are healthy
Indeed, this is true but also you need to be careful about the way you are consuming them. If you like to have healthy veggies with a sauce, bacon and cheese then no, of course no those vegetables are not that healthy anymore. Also, Only a little olive oil in your salad is okay but don’t overdo it.
2) Avoid Dairy products or milk products
It is considered that dairy products lead to weight gain so they should be avoided from the diet. Dairy products are a source of energy that can help you feel energetic for the entire day and also their ingredients are beneficial to your system. If you really want to lose weight with some serious diet techniques than replace your regular milk with a low-fat one but don’t remove dairy products completely as these help in to build up the calcium level.
3) Cut the Calorie Intake
Calories are replica of energy. Without having calories, you wouldn’t be able to get out of bed every morning, so don’t cut it totally as they are not bad. But remember, only over consuming is bad. If you practice balanced nutrition then everything is fine. Hence start consuming calories which your body needs according to your weight, height and lifestyle.
4) Fatty acids are the worst
Saturated fatty acids block your arteries and raise your cholesterol level. so, it’s good for you to avoid them. But mono saturated fatty acids actually help to keep your cholesterol level low. Yet, nutritionists agree that at least 30% of your daily nutrition should be fat.
5) Cut Sugar from your daily routine
A teaspoon of sugar contains 15 calories. Accepting the truth that it is not best for your teeth, but a small teaspoon in your coffee won’t make you put on weight every day. Though big amounts of sugar will get you more calories that burn quickly and won’t offer you energy but if you keep an eye on your sugar intake to a minimum then there is no reason to start adding artificial products like sugar-free (which is quite famous in India) in your coffee.
6) Healthy foods taste bad
