Durva grass, Dhoob grass or Bermuda Grass is the second holiest herb after Tulsi plant. Durva stands for the grass which brings the distant blessings of God closer. According to Ayurveda the juice of this sacred grass reduces the burning sensation in the body. It is to be believed the worshipper obtains vital energy if he offered this grass.
Red Flowers or Red Substance– The husband of deity Riddhi Siddhi loves the red substances. It is said that the complexion of Ganpati is red hence offering of red clothes, red flowers, and red sandalwood makes him happy.
Modak– According to Hindu mythology, any offering to Lord Ganesha is incomplete without the lip smacking Modak which is all time favorite of him.
