A generous welcome is given to all the guests. At the entrance of the corridor, sprinkling of rose water aromas the guests. Offering of blooms to ladies express a desire of sowbhagyam for the woman visitors.

The night prior to the big day, the husband is gotten a parade from a sanctuary, sitting in a bloom embellished vehicle. He is then escorted by the lady’s folks and invited at the marriage mandap. This is known as the social capacity called ‘Janna Vasam’ in south India. There are a few directing divine beings – the Nandi Devatas. To satisfy them, a leaf-loaded branch of the Pipal tree is set up, and 5 wedded women play out a custom of washing it with drain.

‘Malai Mathal’ is the custom where the bride and groom are lifted to the shoulders of their separate maternal uncles. This custom implies the ceaseless kin support to their moms. What’s more, in that position the couple wreath each other thrice. In the Shastras, the trading of wreaths connotes their unification as one soul in two bodies. The couple are then given a sweet blend of drain, sugar and bananas to eat while sitting in a decorated swing. Water and lit lights are kept around the swing with a specific end goal to protect the couple against evil spirits and phantoms. This is considered as an important part of the wedding rituals.

The bride is made to sit on her dad’s lap and is given away as a blessing by him to the groom. On the young lady’s head, a ring made with Kusa, is put, and over it, the ‘Mangal Sutra’ is put on the opening of the burden where water is poured through the gap. The bride is then given a promising washing and a world class new ‘Koorai Saree’ is hung around her, which is finished by the sister of the husband.

Three bunches are tied, the first by the spouse, the other two bunches by his sister to make the bride, a part of the family. The man finally holds the hand of the lady. Holding the lady’s hand, the husband strolls seven stages with her. This is the most imperative piece of the wedding function, and just when they walk seven stages together, the marriage finishes. The conviction is that when one strolls seven stages with another, one turns into the other’s companion.

A crucial piece of the wedding is the respect paid by the couple to Agni, the fire God. They hover around the fire, and bolster it with ghee. Agni, the most intense component in the universe that esteemed as an observer to the marriage.

A lot of other rituals are also performed during the wedding ceremony varying from places to places. All the guests wish a happy marriage life to the couple to conclude the wedding and let them begin a beautiful life ahead.
